SEVERE DEPRESSION

A female patient of severe depression with complaints of anxious, worrying and sleeplessness by stating that their children's shown less care on them. She was under psychiatric medication. Recently had fall and fainted at bathroom since then stopped doing all her activities, lost hygiene concious, became highly restlessness, sleeplessness and irrelevant talks, drowzy through out the day and not obeying the words, high fear to move or to do any activities. Got treated in allopathic hospital but found no relief hence shifted, admitted for 14 days at Shri Dharmastala Manjunatheshwara Ayurveda Hospital, Kuthpady, Udupi. Treated with kaphaja unmada chikitsa and tapered allopathic medications. She got relieved with symptoms by 75% and improved in quality of healthy life.
